Tribal Teacher Workshops are a six series of web-based teacher training courses aimed at improving the quality of classroom teaching. With different curriculums including math, science, astronomy, and reading, the courses provided learning methods utilized by Native American and Native Alaskan teachers. Through my work with Informatics, I traveled to different Indian reservations from the Navajo in New Mexico, to the Chippewa in Minnesota, to the Tlingit tribe in Juneau, Alaska. Working with the Native teachers and reservation schools I observed their classroom techniques and studied their culture. This helped design a learning strategy that honored the different tribes culture.
